had shrunk to 37. By the 1990's the number had slipped to just a
couple.
The popularity of microbrewed beer has grown
considerably over the last few years and New York City is now host
to several excellent brewers and brewpubs. The selection of good
beers has increased to several hundred different choices in some
stores and there are regularly scheduled beer tastings in the City.
